1. What is One Health?
One Health is an integrated, unifying approach that recognizes the connection between the health of people, animals, and the environment. By mobilizing multiple sectors including healthcare, veterinary, agriculture and environmental fields it aims to sustainably balance and optimize overall health while promoting collaboration to prevent and respond to health threats.
2. Why does this conference matter for the Middle East and North African (MENA) region?
This conference is the first of its kind in terms of bringing together diverse stakeholders to coordinate surveillance, policy, and funding efforts among governments, UN agencies, and researchers across the region, transforming the One Health framework from a concept into concrete, on-the-ground action that effectively addresses complex health challenges at the human animal environment interface.
3. What are the dates and venue of the conference?
This conference will take place on 14–15 June 2025 at the International Diplomatic Academy in Tunis a purpose-built conference center, about 7 km (15–18 min) from Tunis Carthage International Airport.
4. Do I need a visa to Tunisia?
Citizens of more than 90 countries—including the EU, UK, USA, Canada and most GCC & African states may enter visa-free for up to 90 days. Check your country requirements here: Visas and entry conditions in Tunisia
5. How do I reach the venue from the airport?
We recommend indrive app or yellow cabs Taxi: ~18 min / ≈ TND 30 (€10).
6. Will simultaneous interpretation be provided ?
Yes plenary sessions will offer Arabic, English and French channels. Local providers in Tunis specialize in conference interpreting for these languages.
7. How do I register and how much does it cost?
Registration is open and free of charge. You can reserve your spot by clicking here. While online participation will be provided to all registrants, in person attendance will be granted only upon confirmation.
8. What safety and health measures are in place?
The venue follows WHO mass gathering guidance and provides on site first aid.

10. Will meals be provided?
Registration includes morning coffee, buffet lunches featuring Tunisian cuisine and afternoon refreshments.
11. Are there recommended hotels nearby?
Yes Laico Tunis and Sheraton Tunis, which lie within 10–15 min from the venue. Shuttles will be available every morning starting at 7:30 AM, running every 20 minutes until 10:00 AM. Evening shuttles will operate from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a departure every 20 minutes.
12. Is there a recommended dress code?
Business casual is recommended for all sessions
